Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Helix Rush (the “app”), made by Kai-Wen Chen (“we”), and its advertising partner collect, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Nothing. We have no accounts, no servers and no analytics. The game saves your progress on your device: coins, story progress, medals, best laps and ghost laps, your car's paint, parts and upgrades, and settings. This save is included in your iPhone or iPad backups like any app data, deleting the app deletes it, and it is never sent to us or to anyone else.

Advertising

The free version shows a banner ad from Google AdMob: along the bottom of the menus and results screens, and along the top during a race. To show and measure these ads, Google’s software in the app may collect:

• device identifiers, including Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking;
• your approximate location derived from your IP address;
• information about the ads you see and tap, and how you use the app;
• diagnostic information such as crash and performance data.

Google uses this information as described in its Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. We do not receive any of it in a form that identifies you.

Your choices

• Tracking. iOS asks whether Helix Rush may track you. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, the advertising identifier is not shared and you see ads that are not personalised. You can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
• Consent. Where the law requires it (the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), you are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.
• Ad personalisation. You can manage how Google personalises ads at My Ad Center.
• No ads. The “remove ads” purchase turns the banner off for good, and Google no longer collects data through it.

Purchases

The “remove ads” purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Your payment details go to Apple, never to us. The app only asks the App Store whether the purchase has been made.

Sharing ghosts and saves

The game can copy a ghost lap or your save as a block of text, so you can send it to a friend or move it to another device. This happens only when you tap the button, and the text goes wherever you paste it.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
